​Are you a creator, storyteller, or lifestyle influencer who loves capturing beautiful moments? We want to see your best shots. Whether it’s a stunning golden hour selfie, a vibrant local landscape, or a glimpse into sustainable living—your photography can help a family in need achieve energy independence.

Prairie Guardians is hosting the Bright Future Photo Challenge to raise $15,000 for a vital piece of community infrastructure: equipment and tools we need to serve our solar customers. These tools and equipment will allow our team to transport supplies,tools, and equipment directly to local sites and build solar installations, helping us bring 100% covered, cost-free solar ownership to income-qualified families and community nonprofits. Every single entry fee goes directly toward the “Equipment Fund,” turning your creative passion into real-world logistical power for families who need it most.

​How It Works

• Step 1: Choose Your Best Shot  Submit your favorite high-quality photo. It can be a lifestyle portrait, a beautiful outdoor space, or anything that represents “A Bright Future” to you.
• Step 2: Submit & Donate Entry is just $20 per entry. Every entry acts as a direct donation to our project, funding the equipment we need to serve our community.
• Step 3: Share & Mobilize Your Audience  Once your photo is live on our voting gallery, share your custom link with your followers, friends, and family! People can vote for your photo by making a micro-donation ($1 = 1 vote). It’s a fantastic way to rally your community around a great cause.

​The Prizes

• The Grand Prize Winner: Features prominently on our official channels, receives a premium eco-friendly creator prize pack, and gets a dedicated sponsor feature
• ​Category Winners: Special recognition for Best Lifestyle Portrait, Best Nature/Agri-View, and People’s Choice.

Be Our Official Ambassador: The grand prize winner will become our official Conservation Ambassador for one year, receiving a platform to share their passion and inspiring others.
The Grand prize is 25% of proceeds up to a maximum of $5000. Other prizes will be announced later and depend on sponsors. The Grand prize will be announced at the end of 2026.

Monthly prizes and themes: Each month that we have at least 150 entries, we will give away $1000 to the top voted entry. If the entries are below 150, we will give away a prize equal to 25% of the entry value.

* Support a Cause: Every entry fee and vote helps fund our mission to bring free solar to income eligible families as well as our mission to protect rivers and lakes from pollution
* Get Featured: Top submissions will be showcased in our official digital calendar and on our social media, reaching our global community.
* Pay Your Entry Fee: Click the button below to purchase your contest entry. You will be redirected to our secure checkout. The entry fee is [$20] per submission. We are a 501(c)(3) organization so in the USA, your entry fee is a tax deductible contribution
* Submit Your Photo: After your payment is confirmed, you will be redirected to a secure submission form. Upload your high-resolution image(s) and provide a short description of how your photo relates to our mission.
* Share Your Story: Once your submission is complete, share it on social media with the hashtag #PrairieBrightFuturePhotoChallenge to encourage votes from your friends and family.

* Grand Prize Winner: Up to $5000 US Plus A one-year term as our Official Conservation Ambassador. This includes a dedicated profile on our website, social media takeovers, and speaking opportunities.

* Who can enter? Anyone 18 years of age or older from anywhere in the world.
* Is there a limit on photos? Yes, you may submit up to three photos per person.
* Do I have to be a professional photographer? No! This contest is open to everyone, regardless of skill level.
* How will my photos be used? By submitting, you grant us a license to use your photo for fundraising and promotional purposes, with credit given to you.
* What if my photo contains artistic nudity? We welcome a wide range of artistic expression. Images that are tastefully done will be considered for a separate, paywalled gallery on our exclusive membership platform.
